Always alert, always
inquisitive, the church
mouse sees and hears
much of what escapes
the notice of everyday
participants in our
church's activities. Look
to this column for that
"little extra" that adds
dimension to the regularly
posted schedules and events.

Well, I overheard the Scrabble Queen (Remember her?) say that someone ought to say how much the congregation appreciates the choir. Can I get an amen? I can probably get a whole bunch of amens for that.

Well, all the flour dust has been swept up and all the tables and chairs have been put away. Yes, another Smorgasbord has come and gone. I thank all of you who helped. I know all of you work very hard. I saw you. Trust me, the food was great!

So, I see the Halloween Party is corning up again. I know the kids will be here. I wonder if Janet Taylor will come in a costume this year.  One year she came and I hardly recognized her. The preacher didn't at all and was talking with her as though she were new to the church. That was pretty funny.

Maybe I'll come to the Halloween Party this year in a costume. I think I'll come as a cat.

I saw a whole bunch of kids climb into Mary's van and Neal's car here a few Sundays back. I guess they had a great time at the Ruler Family Farm petting zoo. They had a beautiful tall day for it. They were all smiles

Well, I don't have any room for any more circumlocutions. So I guess I will have to put a lid on my loquaciousness for this month.

Well, it looks like I have a whole column again this month. I guess this means I can be as garrulous as I want to be. (I'm still reading the preacher's dictionary. I'm up to the letter "g".)
